FPSC Approves Induction of Armed Forces Officers into Civil Services
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has approved the induction of 10 officers from Pakistan armed forces into major civil services across the country this year.
According to the details, the decision follows the successful completion of psychological and verbal assessments conducted under the Competitive Examination 2024.
The FPSC confirmed that five officers will join the Pakistan Administrative Service, three have been assigned to the Police Service, while two will enter the Foreign Service.
Captain Yasir Hameed and Captain Zohaib Nasir have been selected for the Foreign Service of Pakistan in the latest batch of military inductions.

The Pakistan Administrative Service will now include Captain Abdul Rehman Qasim, Captain Syed Muhammad Umar Shah, Flight Lieutenant Talha Haseeb, Lieutenant Muhammad Arsalan Shakeel, and Lieutenant Muhammad Ali Hamad.
The FPSC highlighted that integrating armed forces officers into civil institutions aims to strengthen governance, improve administrative coordination, and boost cooperation between defense and civilian sectors.
Last week, FPSC announced the final results of the Central Superior Services Examination 2024, marking the conclusion of a highly competitive selection process.
A total of 15,602 candidates appeared in the written examination, yet only 397 passed the initial stage, reflecting an exceptionally low success rate this year.
Following interviews and additional assessments, the FPSC recommended 229 candidates for appointment to Grade-17 positions across multiple federal services.
