Gold prices declined sharply across Pakistan on Wednesday, reflecting a drop in international bullion rates and interbank exchange movements.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Associations, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,500 to Rs456,962 on December 31, 2025.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs2,143 to Rs391,771, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined by Rs1,964 to Rs359,136.
The association said domestic gold prices were calculated based on interbank exchange rates, maintaining a purity standard of 999 for 24-karat gold.
Internationally, gold prices also weakened, with bullion quoted at $4,346 per ounce, down $25 from the previous session.
Silver prices followed a similar downward trend in the local market.
The price of 24-karat silver per tola declined by Rs212 to Rs7,718, while the rate for 10 grams of silver fell by Rs182 to Rs6,616.
In the international market, silver prices dropped by $2.12 to $72.43 per ounce.
The rates were issued under the authority of the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Associations, with the notification signed by its president, Muhammad Qasim Shikarpuri.
