Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Thursday as the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association announced a sharp increase in domestic rates, mirroring strength in global bullion markets. The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose Rs6,773 to Rs449,212, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased Rs6,209 to Rs411,792. International gold prices were quoted at $5,012 per ounce, showing a gain of $79 during the session. Silver prices also moved higher, with 24-karat silver per tola reaching Rs8,404 after an increase of Rs358. The price of 10 grams of silver stood at Rs7,205, up Rs307. International silver was reported at $79.20 per ounce, gaining $3.58.
