Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday in line with hike in global market. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported the per tola price of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs7,400 to Rs429,862. The 10-gram price increased by Rs6,337 to Rs368,530.

The association said 22-karat gold was traded at Rs337,573 per 10 grams. International gold prices also advanced to $4,075 per ounce, up by $74, backed by investor demand for safe assets amid uncertainty over U.S. monetary policy.

Silver prices in Pakistan also increased by Rs 115 per tola for 24-karat to Rs5,209 and by Rs98 per 10 grams to Rs4,465. In the global market, silver gained $1.15, reaching $49.47 per ounce.
