Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan and Globally
Gold prices experienced one of the largest surges in history on Friday in both global and Pakistani markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs10,700 per tola, reaching Rs454,262 amid strong global demand.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs9,174 to Rs389,456, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs8,410 to Rs357,014.
In international markets, gold climbed by $107 per ounce, settling at $4,319, reflecting sustained investor interest amid economic uncertainty.

The surge comes as investors continue to turn to precious metals due to shifting currency trends and global market dynamics.
Silver followed a similar upward trend, with the price of 24-karat silver per tola rising by Rs232 to Rs6,684.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver increased by Rs199, reaching Rs5,730, according to the APSGJA.
