I urge our exporters to utilize this route which is not only more economical but also takes less time, Dawood added.

Russia is a big market that offers $45 billion potential for food commodities. In addition, it also offers a trade route for Europe. Pakistan can tap the potential of Central Asian States as well.
Experts say that it is a good move that would open more avenues of trade between two states. Pakistan is also improving relations with Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
It has been relying on traditional markets of Middle East countries, the United States (US), and EU countries.
This is a new region that Pakistan was going to explore for dwindling exports.
The exports of Pakistan have now witnessed a major increase during the last decade.
The opening of new markets in Russia and the Central Asian States will also help the use of Gwadar Port.
Pakistan has already offered Russia and the Central Asian States to use Gwadar Port for trade.
Landlocked countries like Tajikistan may also take advantage of Gwadar Port for exports.
Pakistan and China are also working on setting up special economic zones under China-Pak economic corridor (CPEC).
The purpose is to promote industrialization and manufacturing sectors in the country.
With industrialization, Pakistan’s exports will increase. Therefore, a new region of Russia and the Central Asian States will help increase exports.
