Police Probe Suicide of Constable in Sheikhupura
A 25-year-old police constable, Shiraz Afzal Ansari, was found dead from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound at his residence in Ferozewala, Sheikhupura district.
According to police officials, Ansari, who served with the Punjab Constabulary Battalion No. 7, allegedly shot himself in the forehead using his official service pistol.
Prior to the tragic incident, Ansari had been assigned duty at the MPA Hostels in Lahore, where he was reportedly performing his routine responsibilities without any known issues.
Police sources revealed that the Shiraz Afzal Ansari had recently become engaged, with his wedding scheduled to take place later this year in his hometown.
His untimely death has deeply shocked his family, friends, and colleagues, who described him as a polite and dedicated officer with a calm temperament.

Following the incident, authorities transferred the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where doctors conducted a detailed post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
