Silver prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday by Rs 115 per tola in line with fluctuation in global market prices. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that 24-karat silver climbed Rs115 per tola to Rs5,209, while 10 grams increased Rs98 to Rs4,465.

International silver prices jumped up to $49.47 per ounce, up $1.15, driven by renewed investor demand for precious metals amid expectations of slower U.S. interest rate hikes. The rally followed a similar upward trend in gold, which saw local prices surge by Rs7,400 per tola to Rs429,862.

The APSGJA said the rates were determined based on interbank exchange values and international market parity, maintaining a purity standard of 999 for 24-karat metal. The 10-gram gold price stood at Rs368,530, while 22-karat gold traded at Rs337,573. International gold rose to $4,075 per ounce, gaining $74 during the day.
