She revealed that she compromised her artistic standards because it was a family project, a decision she now views as a misstep.
“I should not have done Zebaish, or at least I should have read the script before signing it,” Zara said. “I should not have compromised just because it was a family project. I should have taken my work more seriously. I also should not have compromised on my ability to understand art.” She reflected on how early in her career she underestimated the importance of fully committing to her craft.
The actress shared a memorable incident that served as a wake-up call. While attending a gathering at singer Asim Azhar’s house during her pregnancy, Yumna Zaidi approached her and bluntly told her, “Zara, come here. You don’t take your work seriously.”
Zara was initially shocked by the comment, feeling she was giving her best effort. However, upon reflection, she acknowledged the truth in Yumna’s words and recognized the need to elevate her dedication to her profession.
This moment of honesty from Yumna Zaidi helped Zara Noor Abbas reassess her approach to acting and personal growth within the industry. It highlights the importance of constructive criticism and self-awareness among artists striving to refine their skills.
Zara Noor Abbas continues to receive acclaim for her recent performances, particularly in Ek Jhooti Kahani, where her diverse acting abilities have been praised by audiences and critics alike.
