ARL, GIKI Ink MoU to Foster Research and Skills Development

Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology (GIKI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen industry-academia collaboration.

The MoU was signed on 18th Sep, 2025 at ARL’s Morgah office by ARL Chief Executive Officer Mr. M. Adil Khattak and GIKI Rector Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid.

The partnership aims to promote joint research, workshops, faculty placements, internships and to equip students and professionals with practical industry exposure.

Mr. Khattak said the initiative would create opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience, while Dr. Khalid stressed academia’s role in addressing industrial challenges.

The ceremony concluded with ARL presenting a souvenir to Dr. Khalid as a gesture of goodwill, with both sides expressing hope to translate this MoU into tangible opportunities.
