iPhone 18 Pro Leak Claims Face Growing Skepticism
Recent circulating images purported to reveal early color options for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro are being met with doubt after detailed analysis suggested the hardware might not be official Apple parts.
The images were originally shared on social media by user LusiRoy8 and displayed rear panels in blue, dark cherry, and black finishes. These were presented as the next-generation iPhone 18 Pro model. However, closer examination and expert opinions suggest these components are more likely aftermarket rear housings designed for the iPhone 17 Pro rather than genuine Apple prototypes.
One notable observation was that multiple pieces shown were almost identical, including one dark cherry, two black, and three light blue units with minimal variation. This prompted skepticism since Apple prototype leaks typically display more distinct differences at various refinement stages rather than many nearly identical finished shells.
Additional inconsistencies were noted, such as peculiar SIM tray packaging on some frame images and irregularities in screw placements and cut-outs. While some of these issues could be attributed to aftermarket production standards, they do not align with expectations for authentic Apple prototypes.
It is also worth noting that the same social media source has shared other alleged Apple prototype images recently. Several of these have already been questioned or linked to earlier device models and known test units, adding further uncertainty about the credibility of the leaks.
At this stage, there is no solid evidence connecting these images to the actual iPhone 18 Pro. Industry observers and Apple leak trackers are increasingly convinced that the visuals likely show modified or third-party hardware rather than legitimate next-generation device components.
Apple itself has not commented on the leaked images, and as always, official details regarding the iPhone 18 Pro design and features remain under wraps pending an announced launch.
