Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a strong increase on Saturday, reflecting gains in the international market, with the local per tola rate rising by Rs7,000 during trading.

In the domestic market, gold per tola reached Rs526,962 after the increase, reversing the previous day’s decline and marking a notable upward movement in precious metal prices.

The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs6,001 to settle at Rs451,784, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

On Friday, gold per tola had dropped by Rs8,600 to reach Rs519,962, highlighting significant fluctuations in prices over consecutive trading sessions in the local bullion market.

Internationally, gold prices rose by $70 to reach $5,042 per ounce, which included a premium of $20, supporting the upward trend seen in Pakistan’s domestic market.

However, silver prices moved in the opposite direction, falling by Rs105 per tola to reach Rs8,219, reflecting mixed trends within the precious metals segment on Saturday.
