Police Return Rs 4 Million to Family After Fatal Accident

TAUNSA SHARIF: In a commendable act of honesty, local police in Taunsa Sharif returned Rs 4 million to a family that had suffered the loss of three members in a devastating road accident.

The amount was handed back to the bereaved family on the instructions of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) City. The incident occurred earlier in the day when the family’s vehicle met with a tragic accident on the Indus Highway near Chahzanbowala.

Rescue officials reported that three family members were killed and nine others injured in the crash. The group was traveling from Rawalpindi to Yaro Khosa at the time of the accident.

During the investigation and search of the accident site, police recovered Rs 4 million in cash from the vehicle. Rather than retaining the money, authorities acted promptly to locate the victims’ relatives and returned the entire sum intact.

This display of integrity by the Taunsa Sharif police has garnered praise nationwide, serving as a notable example of honesty and public service among government institutions.

The police department’s actions stand out as a positive demonstration of commitment to ethical conduct amidst challenging circumstances.
