Avatr Unveils New SUV Model Avatr 07L
Avatr Technology, a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer supported by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has offered a first glimpse of its newest SUV model, expanding its established Avatr 07 series. The new model is anticipated to be introduced as the Avatr 07L and is expected to elevate the brand’s SUV lineup with upgraded features and enhanced interior space.
Presenting several camouflaged images via Weibo, Avatr revealed that the 07L will sport a longer wheelbase compared to its predecessor. This adjustment aims to deliver increased cabin space, catering to the growing demand for more comfortable and spacious electric SUVs.
In collaboration with Huawei Qiankun, Avatr has integrated advanced smart driving technologies into this model. Most notably, the Avatr 07L is expected to be equipped with Huawei’s 896-channel LiDAR sensor, underscoring a focus on next-generation driver assistance and safety features that support semi-autonomous driving capabilities.
Currently, Avatr’s portfolio includes multiple models across different vehicle types, such as the Avatr 06, Avatr 06T, Avatr 07, Avatr 11, Avatr 12, Avatr 011, and Avatr 012 — spanning both sedan and SUV categories. The Avatr 07, launched in September 2024, is distinctive for offering both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options.
The 2026 lineup of the Avatr 07 includes six variants with pricing starting at 219,900 yuan (approximately $32,330) and reaching up to 279,900 yuan. Additionally, the Avatr 07 Pro+ edition offers enhanced performance with BEV and EREV variants, starting at 219,900 and 229,900 yuan respectively.
The forthcoming Avatr 07L model is currently slated to be included in regulatory filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Although official prices have yet to be announced, analysts predict the 07L will be priced above the standard Avatr 07, reflecting its extended features and technology upgrades.
Avatr’s expansion with the 07L aligns with broader industry trends prioritizing increased vehicle range, smart technology integration, and improved passenger comfort within the competitive electric SUV segment. As the brand continues to develop its market presence, the Avatr 07L is expected to solidify Avatr’s position in both domestic and potentially international EV markets.
