FIA Raids 13 Bogus Nursing Colleges in Twin Cities

Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) along with the Pakistan Nursing Council has raided over 13 Un-registered Nursing Colleges in Islamabad and Rawalpindi over the last two months.

According to the investigation officer, FIA received complaints from Nursing Council regarding illegal nursing institutions.

FIA have lodged more than 12 First Information Report (F.I.R) against unregistered nursing institutions.

The Bogus Nursing institutions have lacked professional professors and medical staff in their colleges.

However, Two illegal nursing colleges from KPK have also been raided by FIA.

Officials said the unregistered nursing institutions had no clinical practice affiliations with hospitals, yet they were involved in enrolling students issued fake clinical practice certifications.

The NewzTodays have received a list of 13 unregistered nursing institutions of the twin cities.

Here is the list of unregistered Nursing Colleges in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

2. The Institute of Health Sciences, Islamabad.

3. Federal Institute of Medical Sciences.

4. Royal Institute of Sciences & Technical Education, Islamabad.

5. Air Nust Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad.

6. Life Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad.

7. Neucom Institute of Technology.

8. Sidozai Institute of Medical Sciences, Rawalpindi.

9. Savior Institute of Medical Sciences, Rawalpindi.

10. Munir Medical & Technology Collage, Rawalpindi.

11. The Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad.

12. Msarrat Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad.

13. Allied Institute of Technology.

When contacted, an official of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, requesting anonymity, said that whenever a male or female nurse comes to the office for their registration and card, we check by entering the name of the respective college in our system, which helps us the legal status of the institute.

They said that we are easily identified that the said the nursing college is registered or not with the council.

They added that in the previous year, we had sent many complaints to the FIA Punjab chapter to conduct raids against unregistered nursing institutions in Punjab.

They claimed whenever we have raided illegal nursing colleges in the country, in return we have faced tremendous pressure, politicization, and personal attacks by many Parliamentarians.
