KITAAS, Tabeer Foundation Sign MoU for Higher Education Scholarships

KITAAS Institute and Tabeer Foundation have formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide scholarships aimed at supporting talented students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. This collaborative initiative seeks to dismantle financial obstacles hindering access to higher education, enabling deserving students to attain professional degrees and pursue successful careers.

Under the agreement, 15 fully funded scholarships will be offered annually to students nominated by the Tabeer Foundation. These scholarships will be evenly allocated among three key academic programs at KITAAS: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), with five seats designated for each discipline. The scholarships will encompass tuition fees and additional academic expenses in accordance with KITAAS’ institutional policies.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad NizamudDin, Chairperson of the Board of Governors at KITAAS, highlighted that the partnership embodies a mutual dedication to making quality education accessible to students facing financial constraints. He noted the possibility of reserving up to five additional seats per program, contingent on availability. For these seats, Tabeer Foundation will contribute half of the educational expenses, while KITAAS will facilitate the students’ admissions and provide academic support throughout their studies.

The selection process for scholarship recipients will be executed transparently by Tabeer Foundation, which will manage candidate identification and nomination. The foundation will also offer assistance during admissions and ensure completion of required documentation. KITAAS will oversee admissions following its academic guidelines, create a supportive educational environment, and monitor academic progress of the scholarship holders.

Beyond scholarships, the two organizations have committed to collaborating on broader educational initiatives and community development projects to augment their social impact. At the MoU signing ceremony, Tabeer Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammad Shahid Soroya, emphasized the critical role of partnerships in expanding educational opportunities and empowering youth to contribute constructively to society.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Jahan Ara Nizam (Director Board of Trustees), Dr. Sidra Maqsooq (Member Board of Trustees), Dr. Bushra Inayat Rajpoot (KITAAS Director General), Tariq Waseem (Tabeer Foundation Director), Shehzad Roshan Gillani, and other distinguished guests.

This partnership is anticipated to open new avenues for aspiring students, fortifying efforts to promote inclusive and equitable access to higher education within Pakistan.
