iCAUR V25 SUV Debuts Globally with EV and REEV Options
Chery’s iCAUR brand has unveiled its latest SUV model, the V25, at the 2026 International User Summit held in Wuhu, China. Positioned between the smaller V23 and larger V27 in the lineup, the V25 is notable for offering both fully electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (REEV) powertrains, marking a significant expansion in iCAUR’s powertrain offerings worldwide.
iCAUR V25 Powertrain and Performance Features
The introduction of the V25 brings the first-ever dual powertrain option in iCAUR’s global portfolio, combining battery-electric and range-extended electric variants. The BEV version runs purely on electricity stored in its batteries, while the REEV model incorporates a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that acts as a generator to supply electric power. The brand’s Golden REEV technology boasts a maximum engine thermal efficiency of 44.5 percent and an electricity generation rate of 3.71 kWh per liter of fuel.
Performance-wise, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive system produces 335 kW (about 449 horsepower) and 505 Nm of torque. The intelligent AWD setup automatically manages torque distribution between the front and rear axles to adapt to varying driving situations. Additionally, the SUV offers five driving modes: Forced EV, EV Priority, Hybrid, Fuel First, and Forced Charge, providing users with flexibility based on their driving preferences and conditions.
Design, Comfort, and Safety Highlights
The V25 carries forward iCAUR’s Future Classic design cues seen on the V23 and V27, featuring distinctive circular headlights, a flat bonnet, vertical windshield, and squared-off body panels. With dimensions measuring 4,636 mm in length and 1,920 mm in width, along with a spacious interior, the SUV offers practicality with up to 1,549 liters of luggage space and a flexible seating arrangement where front seats can fold flat to create a rest area for longer journeys.
Inside, the V25 comes equipped with modern amenities such as a panoramic sunroof with powered shading, heated and ventilated front seats, memory-equipped electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and a 15-speaker audio system. Safety is emphasized through the use of a body structure built with 80 percent high-strength steel, along with advanced driver assistance systems including seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and a 540-degree camera system.
Significance for Pakistan’s EV Market
The debut of the iCAUR V25 holds particular relevance for Pakistan, where iCAUR’s V23 and V27 have already been introduced by Nexgen Auto, an affiliate of the Nishat Group. The potential addition of the V25 would expand iCAUR’s offerings in the Pakistani new-energy vehicle market, providing consumers with more options for different powertrain preferences. While no official announcement has been made regarding the V25’s launch in Pakistan, its versatile powertrain configurations could appeal to a growing base of environmentally conscious buyers seeking alternatives amid rising fuel prices and pollution concerns.
Nexgen Auto customers currently have access to the smaller fully electric V23 and the range-extended V27, both launched earlier in 2026. The V25 is expected to join the global rollout from early 2027 but any local launch timeline or pricing details in Pakistan remain unconfirmed.
The emergence of models like the V25 signals an increasing shift in global and local automotive markets toward electrification and flexible energy solutions, making it an important development for Pakistani consumers and industry stakeholders tracking new-energy vehicle trends.
As iCAUR expands its presence from over 40 countries to more than 70 by 2027, Pakistani auto enthusiasts and prospective buyers will be watching closely for any updates on the V25’s availability at home.
iCAUR’s global launch showcases their commitment to innovation, providing customers with both fully electric and hybrid configurations, enhancing choices in the evolving landscape of electric mobility.
